We operate a flying school and also trial flight experiences. When trial flights are bought they first start as a gift card purchase with a 12 month validity, that gift card voucher is then used typically by someone else (the recipient of the gift). They then book a flight experience slot and pay for it by using the voucher. Everything is good to this point.
Here comes the issue. Flying is frequently cancelled due to weather therefore we have to cancel the clients on the morning of the their booking. This then renders their voucher as used and unusable for any further bookings. We then have to reissue a new voucher code to allow them to rebook but to do this we need to trawl back to find the original gift card to identify how many months they are into the 12 month validity. This is made exponentially worse when the client has had maybe 2 or 3 cancelled flights due to weather etc.
Therefore a way to reactivate a Gift Card voucher would solve the problem massively.
